Looks like I will be in need of my brolly during next week's residential. According to the BBC Weather website, Saturday (when I arrive) will be sunny intervals, Sunday will be heavy rain showers, and the Monday will be light rain showers. I'm spotting an unwelcome theme here. If only the rain gauge activity from S104 was in my course instead.
I just hope that the field trip day (to Newhaven and Birling Gap) is later in the week when the weather will hopefully be better!
