Arrived

Just got to Brighton station. On the journey over there was a man in his early thirties who seemed to be staring at me. Half-way through the journey and several attempts to take a decent snap of him later, I realised that he was almost certainly staring at the pretty girl with the Harry Potter book in her hand. This realisation was strengthened by said man getting off the train with his wife and bundle of children. I also realised that the reason he may have continued to stare is that because of the lower light levels on the train, the red anti-red eye light may have been illuminated on my phone, ruining any attempts at subtlety. Ah well.

Brighton station seems bigger and brighter every time I see it. By my reckoning I am about an hour early. I stood contemplating my options for a while, which are bus, taxi and train. I have decided that I really don't fancy hauling my cases into a taxi, so I will get a train to Falmer.

There are so many exceedingly handsome couple reunions happening in the station, it's hard not to stare. Not that they seem to notice either. I saw a man in his mid thirties, muscular, shaved head, a very short full beard and seemingly blinding white teeth wearing a green T-shirt that showed off his chest throw his arms around a slender boy in his mid-twenties completely unselfconsciously. It's good to be back here in Brighton, it's been a long time.
