The Poster Is Finished

3.50pm. After lunch our team (me, Kirsten, Pam and Margaret) went back to the computer room and carried on working on our poster. We decided to do it landscape, with the title and abstract at top-middle, the conclusion at bottom-middle, a suitable photograph at middle-middle and our individual contributions down the left and right hand sides.

I have to say I am really pleased with the poster that we came up with, very pleased indeed. For all her faults Kirsten is excellent at organising people and getting the best out of them. Considering that by lunchtime we had virtually nothing, and I was struggling quite a bit to get a page filled, we've come on in leaps and bounds.

Once all the pages were printed and assembled, we attached them to the board, which is about A2 I reckon, and took them up to the room where they will be presented.

This means that we are now have some free time until the evening briefing at 7.15pm. Once I've relaxed for a bit I am probably going to have a wander around the campus with my camera. I'm going to take the small tripod too so that I can get some self-timer shots. I know it's probably quite sad but I don't imagine that I will ever be here again, so it seems right to me to get as complete a record as possible.

On the walk back from Pevensey, Pam and I were talking about blue-eyed Stephen, and the fact that he went out until 7am. Neither of us were particularly approving. I've had a few pints but actually very little. Stephen has unfortunately carved a name for himself, and the only thing he'll be remembered for is for getting plastered most evenings.

Still, once this evening's briefing is out of the way, it's just one more night here, then after tomorrow morning's session where we get given the ECA, I'll be off. I need to pack my bags tonight unfortunately, as there won't be time in the morning -- checkout is 9am. I wonder if it will fit in the cases, or will I end up having to put some things in the rucksack? Soon find out.
