And so it begins

Well I am all unpacked to the extent that the room looks like it has been lived in for a few weeks already. Read my messages, downloaded some photos of last week's residential sent by a lady who was here last week, they look daunting but interesting. Also just caught up with Mal who was sitting on a small wall outside on his phone. He can't get a mobile signal in his room, although I can. Turns out that we are on different mobile providers, which may explain it. I suspect if the forums are anything to go by that there may be a few conversations like that this week. Lots of people who have done this course before have said that they couldn't get a signal but the girl in the next room could, etc etc.

Quite a few people seem to recognise me, which is strange. I guess people recognise me from FirstClass, as I can be a bit of a blabbermouth on there sometimes. I've had lots of messages this afternoon on Facebook from people wondering what I am doing down here in Brighton. I'm wondering that too at the moment, lots of feelings of uncertainty.

Hopefully all will become clearer in half an hour or so when I walk over for the Introduction. I have found the iron and ironing board, the are in the shared kitchen and lounge area which is at the end of the corridor in the flat. That room is predominantly blue, with a huge American-style double doors fridge, both sections completely empty. Not sure what I was expecting, a bottle of vodka? I like the large windows at both ends. The cupboards are all empty and unfriendly somehow.

I realised just now that I am really very hungry. I am looking forward to dinner in a while.

There are some threatening clouds moving quickly overhead, hope I won't get caught in the rain as I walk across campus. I am glad that I have packed for every eventuality.
