About ready for bed

9.26pm. Two of the activity C (the field trip) tutors gave us a pep talk about what to bring for tomorrow, essentially assume nothing and prepare for all eventualities. In practice that means sun cream, waterproofs, hat, and a bottle of water.

Afterwards, we had a set of introductory activities with David Bard for activity E, the research project which will culminate in the scientific poster. The activity itself will happen on Thursday but tonight's stuff got us to do a dry run, how we would chop the task up into smaller tasks, what to include, what to leave out, and so on.

The coach tomorrow morning leaves at 8am sharp. Breakfast will be served from 7am so really to make sure I am up and properly prepared I am going to have to be up for around 6am. Ew.

It will certainly be nice to see the sea tomorrow. Despite having lived about as far inland as it is possible to get in the UK, I crave being by the sea. I just hope it's not pissing it down with rain.

Either the bedroom walls are amazingly thick here or I have very quiet neighbours. Frankly I don't mind which explanation is the truth, provided I don't get woken up by people coming back from the East Slope Bar at gone midnight, I consider myself fore-warned having read some of the posts on the forums.

It's been a very full day, I've been awake since before 6am, and I'm not really relishing sleeping on my own in a strange single bed. I'm glad I have my MP3 player with me.
