Intro

Just had a relatively long introduction lecture by the director of science at the OU (I think), and again by the SXR103 course director, Linda Fowler. I recognise her from her photos on Facebook.

We have now been split up into our groups, I'm a yellow rectangle, not that it means anything, it's all utterly arbitrary (a bit like football teams really, how many Birmingham City players are from Birmingham?) but they have to split the number of people up somehow. I gather they do it in order of registration.

Now I'm on the way to a lab for a session with an activity tutor and the fitting of lab coats. I did bring the one that I bought specially down to Sussex with me, but it is back in my room. I will be wearing my own coat from tomorrow onwards I guess.
