I have arrived. After getting off the train at Falmer, I walked from the station through an underpass, which I later realised goes under the main A road that leads into Brighton. This took me past one of the concrete University of Sussex signs that I've seen in so many photos, and in to the campus. There are Open University signs everywhere, wrapped onto lampposts with string.



After finding my way to Falmer House, I was able to plonk my two cases under the watchful eye of a friendly security guard. I was then shown to the Falmer Bar, where I had a very welcome cup of coffee. I am now chatting to a nice lady who came from Northern Ireland. Quite a way yes but I think Graham, one of the group tutors, will win the award as he has flown from New Zealand. Short of anybody coming from the moon...?

We chatted about the courses we've done and the courses we want to do, a conversation I suspect I will have a lot of times during the next few days!
