Finally, finally, at 12.15pm, my StudentHome page showed that my ECA has been received. It looks as though this is the first one that I sent, rather than the second. How do I know this? Well, the copy I posted yesterday was sent with Guaranteed Next Day Delivery, and the tracking website didn't say until nearly 3pm today that my letter had been delivered.
In addition, when I got home I found the acknowledgment card waiting for me on the doormat, stamped with yesterday's date.
At least it arrived! Now I can relax a bit until mid-December, when the results come out.
