All over bar the shouting

10.41pm. I can hardly believe that it has been a month since the end of my residential week at Sussex. Mentally part of me is still there, mulling over the highs and lows of my time there. Another part of me is amazed that I got through it. I have read through some of the answers that I wrote in the Activity books, and I am amazed. It's hard to avoid thinking "I wrote that?? But that's clever!"

The residential week seems like both only yesterday and months ago, a strange duality. I suspect it's one of those experiences that stays with you.

Anyway tonight I finally reached the end of the End of Course Assessment. I hadn't exactly been completing it at a breakneck speed, and thinking that I had roughly five weeks in which to complete it rather lulled me into a false sense of security.

Still, it's done, finished, printed out, stapled together, and tomorrow it will go in the post.

All I have to do then is to wait for my little card to arrive in the mail, to confirm it has arrived safely ahead of the deadline of 3 September, then wait for the result.

I have given it my best shot. There are answers to every single sub-question, so I am confident that I have done enough to pass this amazing course. I am again minded to say thank you to all the Open University tutors, and all the Sussex staff who worked hard to make this a fascinating course and an amazing residential week. I urge all OU science students to do this course.

Not sure when the results are due out. I will have to ask. But tonight, bed and sleep beckon.
